Making good use of time

Pushed myself out of the house this morning to attend a journaling workshop at a local nature preserve. We were a small group. It was a laid-back, relaxing hour and a half. We were invited to write our impressions and share, so here's mine.

Trail Notes

Moss-flattened mud and a creek of lampshade green
The tree frogs are out in daylight, unafraid.
Daddy Longlegs pauses to rebuke us, then prudently hastens on his way.
"God's Walking Stick" holds up the sky
And keeps the world steady
At least for today.
